A source of pure and natural beauty care, Shea Butter is one of nature’s wonders. Known as Women’s Gold, Shea Butter is only found in the tropics of Africa and is extracted from the nuts of the Shea-Karite tree. GNOM is promoting Ugandan Shea Butter in the natural skin care market and also has a range of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives: Part of its export sales proceeds are contributed to local community development projects in areas such as education, training, creating environmental awareness, health care (donates medicine for poor people in northern Uganda which has been affected by a long term war), paying school fees for some orphans in northern Uganda. GNOM pays farmers fair prices for their Shea nuts in addition to providing them with training and farming inputs such as sunflower seeds.
